Hooters of South Florida Employees Deliver Meals, Books and Summer Themed Activities to Several Hospitals

As part of their Hootie’s Lending Library initiative, employees from the Beach Place, Doral and Pembroke Pines Hooters locations visited their local hospitals this July. Every month, representatives from Hooters of South Florida visit Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, Salah Foundation Children’s Hospital and Holtz Children’s Hospital and deliver hundreds of children’s books plus meals consisting of boneless wings, salads and desserts.  During this month’s visit they also gave the children summer themed items and crafts.

 

Fort Lauderdale Beach Place Hooters employees Chyna Veitch and Letticia Batista had the opportunity to visit patients at Broward Health Salah Foundation Children’s Hospital.  Pembroke Pines Hooters employees who visited Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital include Arin Cohen- Velazquez, Camily Martinez, Laura Gonzalez and Nicole Vicich.  Doral Hooters employees who visited Holtz Children’s Hospital include Gigi Munoz, Laurie Leon and Keidy Vega.

 

“The children at Salah Foundation Children's Hospital always put a smile on my face. They look forward to us bringing them toys, books, art supplies and Hooters meals. Seeing the children happy is all that matters to me,” said Chyna Veitch who works at Beach Place Hooters on Fort Lauderdale Beach.

“It’s always a pleasure going to the children’s hospital. It’s really a blessing to be a part of a company that gives us such opportunities. We bring little toys, books and our delicious food, but what we leave with is invaluable. These kids are so appreciative and kind. The children and their families have this unbreakable spirit you sort of just want to be around,” said Letticia Batista who works at Beach Place Hooters on Fort Lauderdale Beach.

 

“Helping at the children's hospital, even for just a short time, was incredibly rewarding. Reading stories and coloring with the kids brought joy to their faces and reminds me of the power of simple acts of kindness,” said Keidy Vega who works at Doral Hooters.

 

“Our employees enjoy partnering with our local children’s hospitals year round.  Our kitchen staff, Hooters Girls and managers enjoy the opportunity to prepare the meals for the hospital staff and deliver the books and visit the children,” said South Florida Hooters Director of Marketing Kristi Quarles.

 

Every month the South Florida Hooters restaurants donate more books and meals as part of their community partnership with local hospitals.  Hooters has provided Holtz Children’s Hospital, Jackson North Medical Center, Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital and Salah Foundation Children’s Hospital with custom library carts for Hootie’s Lending Library” in the Pediatric ER.  Each rolling library cart is filled with books for children of all ages. Every month the restaurant donates hundreds of books. Since 2022, Hootie’s Lending Library has provided over 8,500 books to the local hospitals.

 

Naples Hooters Presents $6,000 Donation and Backpacks to Christmas in July Foundation of Collier County

Hooters of Naples presented a donation of $6,000 plus 200 backpacks with school supplies to the Christmas in July Foundation of Collier County on July 26th. Current and Hooters Girl Alumni plus several regular customers including Clay Cox from Kitchens by Clay took part in the check presentation at the restaurant to the local non profit.

The Christmas in July Foundation of Collier County was formed to aid CCPS students who are deemed homeless or at risk of being homeless, with backpacks, school supplies and clothing. The mission is to make sure these students are prepared and proud to go back to school. As an all year long project, we fulfill their needs throughout the school year.

“We enjoyed the opportunity to have everyone come together at Naples Hooters to present the donation. Our team at Naples Hooters wanted to help local children who are homeless or at the risk of being homeless as they prepare for the 2024/ 2025 school year. We are thankful to partner with the Christmas in July Foundation of Collier County to be able to provide kids school supplies and backpacks for the new school year and year round. We appreciate our customers' generosity in always supporting our community efforts including Clay Cox and Kitchens by Clay and Steve and Jaime Loyd of Take a Soldier Fishing,” said Naples Hooters General Manager Steve Caruso. Since 2023, Naples Hooters has now donated a total of $16,000 plus 496 backpacks filled with school supplies to the Christmas in July Foundation of Collier County. “

Hooters Beach Place employees visit Salah Children's Hospital

As part of their Hootie’s Lending Library initiative, Beach Place Hooters employees Gracie Williams, Chyna Veitch and Letticia Batista had the opportunity to visit patients at Broward Health Salah Foundation Children’s Hospital on June 5.  During the visit the group delivered over 100 children’s books plus meals consisting of boneless wings, salad and desserts. They also gave each child a Summer themed decorated bucket with arts and crafts supplies.

“Visiting the Salah Children’s Hospital is one of the most incredible experiences. As I currently seek a career in the medical field, these experiences are extremely valuable and rewarding, “ said Gracie Williams who works at Beach Place Hooters.

“Being able to put a smile on a child’s face was really amazing. Meeting the families is something I’ll never forget. The kids were so sweet, so brave and so appreciative,” said Letticia Batista who works at Beach Place Hooters.

“Working for a company that allows me to experience moments like this will forever bring me joy. I love seeing all of the babies and adolescents get excited over books, toys and meals. I will do this again in a heartbeat. Nothing is better than seeing someone else happy,” said Chyna Veitch who works at Beach Place Hooters.

Fort Myers Hooters Employees Make Monthly Visit To Valarie’s House

Hooters of Fort Myers employees Kenna Crider and Mila Usmanova visited Valerie’s House on June 10. Hooters donated and delivered dinner for the families at the non-profit. Hooters of Fort Myers employees visit Valerie’s House every month to bring food including wings for the children and their families. Several of the Fort Myers Hooters employees participate often in the visits.

“Every time I attend the Valerie’s House promotion I am always moved in a positive way because there is so much good being done. We love being able to be a part of an organization that continues to grow and make a difference, ” said Mila Usmanova who works at Fort Myers Hooters.

Valerie's House is a non-profit organization whose mission is to help children and families work through the loss of a loved one together and go on to live fulfilling lives.

“We are proud to partner with Valerie’s House and support their vision and mission to help children and their families year-round in Southwest Florida. For several years our employees at Fort Myers Hooters have been visiting Valarie’s House in Fort Myers and now were are grateful for the opportunity to expand our involvement and add the location in Charlotte County for our team at Port Charlotte Hooters to visit every month,” said LTP Management Director of Marketing Kristi Quarles.

Naples Hooters Collecting School Supplies for Homeless Youth

Naples Hooters is spreading holiday cheer in the middle of the year for a good cause.  During the entire month of July the restaurant will be decorated for Christmas as they collect school supplies and backpacks for homeless kids in Collier County.  Guests are encouraged to bring school supplies and backpacks to benefit the Christmas in July Foundation of Collier County.  The restaurant is also offering the opportunity to sponsor a child's complete backpack for $25.

The Christmas in July Foundation of Collier County was formed to aid CCPS students who are deemed homeless or at risk of being homeless, with backpacks, school supplies and clothing.  The mission is to make sure these students are prepared and proud to go back to school.  As an all year long project, we fulfill their needs throughout the school year.

“Our team at Naples Hooters wanted to get involved and help local children who are homeless or at the risk of being homeless.  We are thankful to partner with the Christmas in July Foundation of Collier County to be able to provide kids school supplies and backpacks for the new school year and year round. Fort Myers Hooters Employees Deliver Books for Lending Library at Lee Regional Cancer Center

Fort Myers Hooters employees Mila Usmanova, Allyson Shaffer and Savanney Insixiengmay delivered books to the Lee Regional Cancer Center in Fort Myers on July 1st.  Every month the Fort Myers Hooters location delivers additional books for patients to read, word searches, coloring books, writing utensils and bookmarks.   Mila, Allyson and Savanney all frequently participate in the monthly deliveries from the restaurant.

“Giving back to the Cancer Center is always a really important promo to me every month. I always love being involved with this opportunity. Giving back will always be a priority of mine inside and outside of the restaurant,” said Mila Usmanova who works at Fort Myers Hooters.

“We are honored to partner with both the Lee Regional Cancer Center in Fort Myers.  Our employees look forward to being a part of our monthly visits and meeting the patients when they bring the book cart around.  We created the Hootie’s Lending Library program to provide books for kids and adults to read when they are in the hospital and every month we are always adding more books, word searches and other essentials to the selections in Southwest and South Florida.  It is our priority to give back,” said South Florida Hooters Director of Marketing Kristi Quarles.

Doral Hooters Employees Visit PPEC

Doral Hooters Employees Visit PPEC

Representatives from the Doral Hooters location delivered books and meals to Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care (PPEC) on May 3.  Doral Hooters employees Natalia Brandt, Diamond Heron, Maya Nastasi, Uniqua Burch and Luisiana Montero had the opportunity to join the children in arts and crafts and read to the kids during this visit. The “Feel Good Friday” program is a partnership with Doral Hooters, PPEC and Holtz Children’s Hospital.

“The minute we stepped foot inside one of the most energizing rooms I'd ever been in we were met with smiles from the children and health care professionals. We read books, colored, made shapes with Play-Doh and sang songs. The bonds we created reminded me why I decided to become a Hooters Girl,” said Uniqua Burch who works at Doral Hooters.

As part of their Hootie’s Lending Library initiative the restaurant partners with local organizations to provide books for kids.  Each month a group of employees deliver additional books to restock the rolling library for the children.  The group also delivered meals prepared by the Doral Hooters location consisting of boneless wings, salad and desserts.
